Submission Guidelines and Manuscript Structure
Please note that:
- If authors wish to add acknowledgment, it should appear briefly in a maximum of one paragraph at the end of the manuscript.
- Manuscripts should be prepared in DOC or DOCX files and submitted through the journal’s official website. The word counts for the abstract, keywords, and the manuscript body will be checked by the website and if the recommended number of words is not met, the website does not allow submission of the manuscript.
- When submitting or editing the manuscript profile, please insert English and Persian abstracts, English and Persian keywords, and the corresponding author and co-authors’ required information in the right bars. Manuscripts without the required information will not be considered.
- Please make sure the authors’ information is inserted correctly on the website. According to the University of Isfahan’s laws, the information regarding the order of the name of the authors, the number of the authors, authors’ academic status and their personal information as well as the name of the corresponding authors cannot be modified at any stage after submission. Graduate students who wish to submit a paper should check with their affiliate university’s requirements before submitting their manuscript.
- D. candidates should confirm the checklist regarding manuscripts adopted from their dissertations.
- PhD Candidates should note that in order to submit their manuscripts adopted from their dissertation, the names of the authors should appear in the following order:
- Student’s name
- Supervisor’s name (corresponding author)
- Advisor’s name (if any)
- Please get your English abstracts proofread [you can use Grammarly].
- The following 5 files should be submitted observing the aforementioned guidelines:
- The main body in DOC or DOCX formats without the authors’ names: The file’s name should not include the authors’ names either.
- Authors’ information: this file should include only the name of the manuscript, the name of the authors, and their affiliation as well as their email addresses. The number and order of the author’s names should be the same as what has been submitted to the website. Please fill in the online form with the authors’ information precisely as based on the University of Isfahan’s laws, the information regarding the order of the name of the authors, the number of the authors, the authors’ academic status, and their personal information, as well as the name of the corresponding authors, cannot be modified at any stage after submission. Graduate students should check with their affiliated universities’ laws before submission. The corresponding author should be determined and according to the University of Isfahan’s laws, the corresponding author should be a member of the faculty or academic staff of a university or research institute; Therefore the corresponding author is recommended to use an organization email address.
- The main body in PDF format: The names of the authors should not be included. The File’s name should not include the authors’ names either.
- Conflict of Interest and Authorship Confirmation Form: this form should be downloaded from here and filled out.
- Cover letter: This form should be downloaded from here and filled out.
- Copyright Agreement: This form should be downloaded from here and filled out.
- Please note that for manuscripts prepared by research centers the form should be filled and signed by all cooperators and the relevant checklist should be confirmed.
- When submitting the manuscript, the questions on the checklist should be answered.
- When submitting the manuscript, write the name of the one reviewers’ suggestions by the authors and the reason for the suggestions in the specified section. please suggest one referee with backgrounds within the theme of your manuscript (from other universities) with their full information i.e., the name of the university, email address hosted by their university, academic rank, specialization, and contact number.
- Manuscript format and structure:
Manuscripts should meet the following:
- Title in Persian and English (use a precise translation of the title)
- The full name and information of all authors should be written on the first page in the following layout:
- The corresponding author’s information: (first name, last name, affiliation [for academic members and university students the name of the department, faculty, university, city, and country], contact number, and email address);
- Co-authors’ information in the following order: first name, last name, name of the department, the name of the faculty, the name of the university, city, and country;
- The order in which you wish the names of the authors to appear should be specified;
- Abstract in Persian followed by an abstract in English; abstract should include an introduction and statement of the problem, research method, findings, and conclusion. The Persian abstract should be in 150 to 200 words and the English abstract in 200-300 words.
- A minimum of 3 and a maximum of 6 Keywords in Persian and English (precise translation) should be selected.
- It is advised that the main body of the manuscript includes the following sections: introduction and statement of the problem, literature review, and theories, research methods, research findings, discussion, analysis, conclusion, Persian and English references, appendix, and maps (if any).
- Use a single space between lines throughout the manuscript.
- The manuscript should be outlined in one column and it should have between 6500 and 8500 words, with a 2 cm margin from the sides and 3 cm from the top.
- Manuscripts should use APA citation style. APA is an author-date method of in-text citations; that is to say the author's last name and the year of publication for the source should appear in the text, like, for example, (Jones, 1998).
- All extra explanations should be added at the end of the paper in the form of post notes.
9. The list of references should appear at the end of the manuscript. If you are using Persian and English references, they should be listed separately, i.e., a section for Persian references and one for English or Latin references and both in alphabetical order. The information should appear in the following order:
For citing books: Last name, first name (year of publication). Title, volume number, (first name and last name of the translator), edition. Place of publication: publication.

For articles: Last name, first name (year of publication). “title”, name of the journal, number, pages.
Important point: The DOI code of all Persian and English resources must be included as a link at the end of each source.

For theses: last name, first name (year of publication), title, MA/MS thesis or PhD dissertation, field of study, faculty, university.
For Reports: Name of the organization (year of publication), “Title of the report”.
For Internet: last name, first name (date of access), website address.
For article collections: Last name of the editor, first name (initials). (Year of publication). “Title of the article”, title of the article collection, place of publication: publication, page numbers.
10. Please note that if you use diagrams or tables, write complete and precise captions and avoid redundant information that appears within the text. Make sure you cite the table or image inside the text.
11. Digital Object Identifier (DOI) of all Persian and English sources must be included as a link at the end of each source.
Persian manuscripts should be prepared using B Lotus and English manuscripts should be written in Time New Roman fonts. Use the guide below for more information:
